Hunters Ed

Well I can't believe it I remember when I took hunters ed which didn't seem that long ago and here is Vanessa taking it. She will be 10 this year and that is how old you have to shoot everything except big game which you still have to be 12. She was so excited to take this class she did awesome.

Ryan had to take it over because that wonderful state of California lost his records lol. So he got to be in class with Vanessa they had a blast.
This is Vanessa shooting. They said she had the best form of all the kids which was awesome since she was the youngest :)
Here she is heading out to take the field test and make sure she can get across the fence with a gun, etc...we laughed at her this day because she hates pink and that is what she is wearing lol.
Congrats to Ryan & Vanessa

Since this my dad took Vanessa out and shot at the 22 target (she had amazing aim) it was a great family time all our family and my parents and brother were out shooting. Vanessa also got to shoot a shot gun since then (Mima's small one) and rubbed her shoulder for awhile lol.

Bug Zoo

The Kindergarten and Pre-School classes took a field trip to the Bug Zoo I was asked to go with them. Well I woke up that morning thinking "what am I thinking I HATE bugs" Trista loved it because she got to hold a lot of different types of bugs. She is defiantly like her dad and loves them.
The were able to go to the creek and search for bugs :)

2010 Track

It was track time here. Vanessa did the 50 meter, softball throw and the 4x100 meter relay. Of coarse she had the very first event and the very last and the wind was so cold. She did great she came home with a 2nd and 3rd place ribbon for the county in her group it was so great. She had so much fun.

Spring Time

Spring time means trips to Home Depot...My dad leaves on his shearing run and mom decides to remodel lol. This years project was her bathroom...here is the kids waiting for Ryan and my mom to quit playing in the boring store lol...Look Vanessa doesn't fit in the fun carts anymore she was not happy lol.
Spring time also means time to burn weeds :) Ryan helped this year (last few years was just mom and I doing it) If you know Ryan he loves fire so he had way to much fun with this job :)
Natalia loves Grams & Pops toy box and thought this hat was just to funny.
Awww look first their is NOOOO snow :) yahhh! also their is a beautiful rainbow. It was a beautiful day. This was our view from the front door :)

Egg hunt

So the community egg hunt was a week late this year because of the big wind/snow storm that we had the day before Easter this year. We always have so much fun.

The girls with the Easter Bunny...Natalia hated it and was screaming of coarse

Daddy helping Natalia with her egg hunt...she was so excited about all the eggs
The girls counting their eggs and getting candy out of the eggs
This is where Vanessa was on her hunt...somehow this year we ended up with all three girls in a different location for there egg hung so it made it fun to see them all.

Science Fair

We all survived the science fair this year. I hated the science fair growing up so I am very thankful that Ryan loves it. A few weeks ago Vanessa came home with a paper saying for the 3rd graders they were going to have an egg drop and you had to package the egg so it wouldn't break. I laughed at Ryan and Vanessa and said good luck. So one night Ryan and Vanessa got prepared...
Step 1: they put a raw egg in a ziploc bag so that it wouldn't leak everywhere if broke.
Step 2: Put the egg in a pair of nylons with knots at both ends
Step 3: Put the nylons inside of a punching balloon (it was tied so that it stayed in the middle of the balloon
Step 4: Put a weight (dirt) on one end of the balloon so that it would fall that way.
Step 5: cross your fingers it worked....

here is Vanessa and Ryan looking at everything after the drop.
Here is The drop
Well sadly it didn't work but happy to say that it just had a teeny tiny crack in it. They know what to do for Trista's now :)

Easter 2010

We cannot believe that Easter has already come and gone. Time is going by way to fast. I thought that you would like to see how our Easter was...We got up to some very excited girls seeing that the Easter Bunny had been to our house (he hides our eggs and leaves a couple of goodies, the rest is from mom and dad).
This is Trista and Vanessa at my parents house, my mom loves hiding eggs for the kids this year there was still a little snow on the ground (yuck).
Natalia was so excited to find eggs on her own even the ones high :) then later to discover there is candy in them she was in heaven lol.
Natalia, Trista and Vanessa at my moms with presents...later my mom brought out big presents the big girls got pogo sticks and Natalia a wagon with blocks. We now laugh because the pogo sticks are Ryan and I's because my mom bought them at a store going out of business and bought them to big and the kids can't use them. I am lucky to get them to bounce. What a work out that is for sure :)
Natalia loved her presents...yep those are blue drum sticks behind her. That was her dad's idea since we discovered how much she has used the Wii drum sticks and even broke one she plays with them so much so these are getting well used now...yep and a bag of cookies lets just say they are gone now :) she is defiantly her mother's kid "Cookie Monster"
Here is our adorable girls easter morning. The big girls got new shirts from Mima a few days before and thought it would be great to match since we were going to my cousin's house for Easter dinner later that day. Easter was a blast.
